| There’s this thing I hear a lot from small business owners: “I’m just trying to be consistent.” Which is fine… until you realize you’ve been “just being consistent” for months and you’re not actually sure what all that consistency is doing for you. I’ve been there. It feels productive. But it’s basically the marketing equivalent of walking on a treadmill. You’re moving. You’re sweating. But you’re not getting anywhere new. And here’s the hard truth: Consistency without clarity isn’t strategy. It’s survival mode. I get why we do it. There’s a comfort in checking boxes and feeling like we’re “on top of things.” But if the things we’re doing aren’t connected to an actual outcome we want? That comfort comes at the cost of growth.
