đź’ˇ When Marketing Feels Like Throwing Spaghetti at the Wall

There’s this thing I hear a lot from small business owners:

“I’m just trying to be consistent.”

Which is fine… until you realize you’ve been “just being consistent” for months and you’re not actually sure what all that consistency is doing for you.

I’ve been there.
Posting daily, writing newsletters, tweaking website copy - all in the name of showing up - but without a clear plan for where those actions were taking me.

It feels productive.
It looks productive.

But it’s basically the marketing equivalent of walking on a treadmill. You’re moving. You’re sweating. But you’re not getting anywhere new.

And here’s the hard truth: Consistency without clarity isn’t strategy.

It’s survival mode.

I get why we do it.

There’s a comfort in checking boxes and feeling like we’re “on top of things.” But if the things we’re doing aren’t connected to an actual outcome we want?

That comfort comes at the cost of growth. Which brings us to...

đź’ˇ This Week's Clarity Cue

Before you post, send, write, or tweak anything this week, ask yourself:
​“What do I want this action to do for me?”

  • Grow my audience?
  • Build trust with the people already here?
  • Drive sales?

If you can’t answer, don’t do it.​
Refocus on something that moves you toward a goal you actually care about.

Because marketing is only as powerful as the direction it’s taking you.
